When the package arrived, it even came in the "FRAGILE" box, and I cannot wait for my dad to open it Christmas morning. So far, the quality of the lamp seems to be sturdy and well put together. The shade and lamp were packaged separately and were bubble wrapped well. I would recommend this lamp to any Christmas Story fan.
